Sarang bag is a feminine and elegant bag that comes in two different sizes. The small bag functions as an elegant evening bag that can hold all the necessary things for your main necessities, whereas the larger one bag can be used more versatilely for, to carry a variety of things, for example, your knitting, a good book or puzzles toys for the smaller children when you’re on the go. The bag can be lined or not, and you can attach either a knitted or a leather handle strap. or a leather strap handle  can be added as needed.

C O N S T R U C T I O N

First, the bottom of the bag is knitted flat back and forth on a circular needle, then stitches are picked up around the sides to form the sides of the bag. Then the lace pattern is established. The pattern includes text explanations as well as a diagram. which is both described as text and shown in a diagram in the recipe. The bag comes with two options for straps, to the handle, as you can either a knitted edge and handles straps in linen stitch, or choose to make an I-cord, depending on what you prefer.

3 threads strands Crealino from Lang Yarns are held together throughout.

4 (6) balls / 200 (300) g Crealino (50g/ 165 m - 100% Linen)

While working with 3 strands threads at the same time, it can be an advantage may be a good idea to buy 3 (6) balls to be able to work with 3 threads strands, or to wind up the yarn  before you knit to be able to so that you can take 2 strands threads  from one skein ball of yarn.

Gauge:

15-16 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm on needle 4 mm / US 6 needle in lace pattern.

22 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm on needle 4 mm / US 6 needle in linen stitch. 

Recommended needles:

Circular needle 4 mm / US 6 circular needle (40 – 60 cm / 16-24”)

Alternatively double pointed 4 mm / US 6 needles if you’re not comfortable with Magic Loop.
